The Daily Chronicle of My Life (Part 8)

For a nice change of pace, my day was pretty good. I had my ethics class. Nothing too interesting there today. I ate lunch with friends, and had Taco Pizza, which is one of my favorites (Whoever thought up combining tacos and pizza: Thank You!). The only bad thing today was the three hour Lab from Hell. Sometimes, I have to wonder if there's a shield around our station that causes the laws of physics to stop working for us. This lab was measuring the value of beta in NPN and PNP transistors. The NPN's worked fine, once we figured out what we were doing. The PNP's didn't. We couldn't finish in the three hours allotted to our class, so we'll have to go back and finish it sometime. At least there's two weeks before it's due.

At 8:00, my dorm had the un-birthday party. I helped to set up, so I got a fun hat. The strap broke, so I taped it down. I even won a prize: highlighters for my accuracy in dropping paper clips into a bucket on the first floor from the second floor. I also had dinner: cake and ice cream. I've been a little hyper, so I think I had a wee bit too much sugar between that and the punch.

After that, I talked to Amy for a while and acted as tech support, tech advisor, weatherman, and sports caster for the upcoming Super Bowl. Then I talked to Jonathan about... just stuff. We both want it to get up to 0, so car's will start again, and we aren't cold all the time. It's supposed to get to -41 tonight, which will set an all time record for coldest temperature recorded in Grand Forks. Fun, fun, fun.

I should find out if I got the paper grader job tomorrow. If I did, goodbye Hugo’s! If I didn't, goodbye Hugo’s at some point in the near future! I hope I got it. The last bit of caring I had about my job left my body on Wednesday. Opportunity cost of quitting will be lower than the opportunity cost of staying if I get the job.
