The Daily Chronicle of My Life (Part 3)

Cold, cold, cold. It was COLD today! Well, I think it was probably more the wind more than the cold, but it felt cold. There are wind-chill advisories and warnings out and a few schools cancelled today. Not my University, of course, but it still was cold.

Despite not having slept well at all last night, due to my roommate’s LOUD snoring, I actually managed to be attentive in class today. It might have been that I was sitting right next to a air-conditioner that wasn't really sealed up all that well for two hours, but at least I was awake. Classes are proceeding well at this point, but my Data Structures professor really needs to speak up and put some variation into her voice. She just speaks in a quiet monotone voice about sorting algorithms, while the class gradually becomes less and less interested in whatever she's talking about. She seems to know what she's talking about at least, unlike a few professors I've had in the past.

I again spent most of the afternoon playing games. I am now Fleet Captain Redshirt #3 in the metaverse. If I loose two more games, I get a medal for "Wounded in action." Appropriate for a Redshirt, I think.

I went shopping this evening. Bought a few odds and ends I need like post-it notes. I forgot Kleenex though. Well, next time I go out, I'll have to get some. I'm a little worried about my car. It's probably just the cold, but it's making a few odd noises. If it keeps happening after it warms up some, I'll worry some more.

I did homework after I got back. I don't know what to think of my Engineering Ethics class. I can see both sides of an issue and wind up with analysis paralysis on all of these questions. I'm an engineer, I don't like ambiguity (the book even says we typically don't like ambiguity). My Linear Algebra was easy, except for the last problem, but I've got a few days to do it so I'm not worried yet.

I don't know if I'm going to play broomball or not tonight. We are in the playoffs for sure now, so that's good. But it's at midnight, I didn't sleep well last night, my former roommate (who I have no great love for and would like to simply avoid for the rest of my life) is on the team, and I've just been cold all day. If I do go, I'll write about it tomorrow (since it will be after midnight).

I'm not really looking forward to the start of my Electronics lab. The TA was in a class I took last semester and she was rather... opinionated, to be polite. I hear from other people that she's a stickler
for procedure and proper lab report format. Maybe I'll be lucky (yeah, right) and I've heard wrong, but I've got a bad feeling about this.

Hey CC, pick up yourself some of those little orange spongie ear plugs to stick into your ears for when your roomie beats you to sleep. Stash them in your night stand or under your pillow. You really can't afford to be kept awake you know.
Geez, sometimes I feel like your big brother but, thats ok, lol. GCJ
